“You know he’s going to turn Times Square in Art Square” Samantha Smith told the barista right after ordering an iced black coffee and an espresso at this wonderful little coffee place, Joe the Art of Coffee.
Sam is one of those young ladies you only find in NYC. She’s way too connected, enthusiastic, knowing what she’s doing, not affraid of saying no and give crazy things a go.

This is what I concluded after our endless talk about the inefficiency of the UN, the monthly rent in Brooklyn, venture capitalists and of course Art Square. I realized that my female Dutch entrepreneurial friends like Yuki, Loeki, Emma (my sis) and Barbara should definitely move to NYC if they ever want to get things going even further.
You see, not only Samantha but also Rhea Joannou, Kianga Ellis and not to forget Julia Kaganskiy are all highly qualified ladies who worked their ways up and are rocking big time. Mind that still forgot to mention Tina Roth Eisenberg (aka Swiss Miss) and Maria Popova aka Brainpicker. I can’t think of any Dutch ladies in that category, can you?
Don’t ask what their secret recipe is, but move to the big apple, and if you (as a young lady) do so I promise I’ll get you a black iced coffee at Joe’s place.
